Viorel Blujdea
Viorel is a forester and has a PhD in forest tree physiology from Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. He was involved in research activities on forest tree physiology (e.g., drought tolerance), allometry (e.g., biomass equations for young trees for several species) and modelling forest growth and management (from stand to country scale). Older activity included representation and support to Romanian Government under various international processes (e.g., desertification, climate change), university teaching, as well as consultancy for methodological set-ups for afforestation activities under the Kyoto Protocol and for the reporting of national greenhouse gas inventories and land based-mitigation.
