Loïc Dutrieux

Loïc is a remote sensing scientist specialized in algorithm development, computer vision and time-series analysis. He joined the JRC in 2020 to work on the development of a European forest observatory. His work consists in developing, assessing and implementing methods for forest mapping and monitoring. Prior to JRC, Loïc worked as a postdoc for the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development (CIRAD, Montpellier, France), and as a geospatial specialist for the Mexican biodiversity commission (CONABIO, Mexico City). He obtained his PhD from Wageningen University (The Netherlands) in 2016.
