Carlos Camino

Carlos Camino is a biologist with expertise in the quantification of nutritional deficiencies, water tress and diseases on crops at different spatial scales. He works at the JRC since July of 2019 and his research activities focus on the developments of remote sensing tools for the early detection of Xylella fastidiosa on several crops using radiative transfer modelling, hyperspectral and thermals sensors and the use of advanced machine learning algorithms. Carlos holds an M.Sc. degree in Biology from University of Jaen (Spain) and a doctoral degree from the University of Cordoba (Spain).
