Jakub Linda
Jakub Linda joined JRC in 2026 to work on forest based industries and wood supply chains in support of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy. He contributes to the development of technical coefficients for forest-based industries, analyses novel wood products in the construction sector, and supports forest sector modelling with improved projections of wood energy demand. His work also examines wood flows between material and energy uses, with particular attention to cascading principles and cross-sectoral interactions. Before joining the JRC, he worked at the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, where he assessed the sustainability of woody biomass use in the context of climate and energy policy. He holds a PhD from Brno University of Technology, with research focused on atmospheric processes and computational modelling.
