Giovanni Bausano

My name is Giovanni Bausano, I am from Rome (Italy) and I am an environmental economist. In 2019 I took the master's degree in Environmental Economics at the University of Turin. At the heart of my studies were the issues of sustainability and strategies for adaptation and mitigation to climate change. After graduation, I worked within a consultancy agency for agri-forest ecosystem management, dealing with the review and application of methodologies for ecosystem services valuation both in rural (forestry- agricultural) and urban contexts. Now I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Padua and during the second and third year of the Ph.D. program in forestry economics, I will be co-supervised by the JRC (Biomass Team). My research project is about the issue of the link between tropical deforestation and EU consumption of agricultural and forestry products.
