As the science and knowledge service of the European Commission, the Joint Research Centre's mission is to support EU policies with independent evidence throughout the whole policy cycle.
I am working at Bioeconomy Unit as scientific officer since February 2018 to assess direct and indirect impacts of European demand for biomass and bio-based products in 3rd countries. I have a European PhD in environmental management (France) and engineering (Italy), a post-PhD in modelling (Brazil) and a MSc in startup innovation and technology (Brazil). I have been working for almost 10 years in Brazil for private sector, multilateral agencies and Brazilian Government about climate change adaptation – including risk assessment, governance frameworks and funding mechanisms. I contributed to the development of many adaptation strategies from federal to local level (and different sectoral perspectives) to support climate-smart investments.
