Giulia Fiorese joined the ForestMod Action in September 2012 as a post doc research scientist. Her research is focused on developing an integrated modelling framework capable of assessing greenhouse gas emissions from forestry, agriculture and other land uses and of assessing the impacts of different EU policy scenarios with a specific focus on biomass for energy. Education: Ph.D. in Ecology at Università degli Studi di Parma (2008); M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano (2003). Professional experience: researcher on optimal planning of biomass-to-energy systems and other renewable sources of energy at Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione, Politecnico di Milano (Milano), 2004-2012.
