José I. Barredo

José I. Barredo, research scientist at the Institute for Environment and Sustainability of the EC Joint Research Centre since 2004. He is a geographer with experience in the fields of natural hazards, modelling of dynamic spatial processes and GIS. In 1995 he received the Ph.D. degree in GIS and remote sensing from the University of Alcalá, Spain. Between 2001 and 2003 he carried out his postdoctoral research at the JRC's Institute for Environment and Sustainability.
